Hello everyone, My name is Jessica, and I am your Summit Families President. This will be my 6th year with Summit Families. I am a full time student and employee. My husband and I now have 1 Husky left at Summit. She is in 2nd grade. Our oldest son has advanced to Vanguard. We are now expecting our third child, who will eventually attend Summit. In our free time we enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, golf, basketball, football, cooking, and family game or movie night. As President, my goal is to build community between staff and families, and to best support our students and staff of Summit Charter Academy. I am so excited for the new year, and to be transitioning back to campus full time!
Hello my name is Heather Quintero and this will be my first year on the board for Summit families. I had the honor of taking the role of Vice President. I have one daughter at Summit who is in the fourth grade! My mornings are spent chasing around my 11-month-old daughter and three-month-old puppy. I am a marriage and family therapist, it’s such a blessing to be able to help those in this community. On our free time we love being outdoors, taking car trips, and visiting family members. We also love being home watching family movies and eating popcorn! I look forward to meeting so many of you this year! “Team work makes the dream work !!” Go Huskies !!
Hello everyone, My name is Yolanda, and I am your Summit Families Secretary. This will be my 1st year with Summit Families! I have been involved with Summit for over 10 years as an employee and have taken this year off to be a full time mom to my 4 beautiful children. My oldest son is in 2nd grade and my oldest daughter is in 1st grade. My husband is a 6th grade teacher at Vanguard College Prep, so I get the awesome opportunity to see our past Huskies thrive as Lions! In our free time we enjoy going on family adventures wherever we can, spending time with family, and movie nights. We love baseball, football, gymnastics, and soccer as well! As Secretary, my goal is to create an atmosphere that is fun and exciting for all Summit Charter Academy students and families, as well as brainstorm new and fun fundraisers and activities. I am so excited for the new year.
This will be my third year as the Summit Families treasurer. For the 21-22 school year I'm hoping to see some in-person fundraising events and more face-to-face activities for the students and families of Summit Charter. I have three kids at SCA two in second grade and one in fourth. I'm currently a student and will start at CSUS full time this fall to start on my bachelor's degree. My family and I love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, and fishing. I also spend lots of time refinishing old furniture and building custom pieces for our home. As Treasurer I'm looking forward to increasing our fundraising efforts in the hopes to contribute to teacher funds and classroom necessities. I'm excited to get things going again and spend more time with our Summit Charter family this year!
